Job description

In search for a food services worker/driver will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of nutrition related services according to the guidelines set forth in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Funding Terms and Conditions established under Title 5, California Department of Education and Day Care Licensing Regulations specified within Title 22.   Must possess Class B driver’s license and food handler’s certification.

Job requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Ø  On a daily basis, as assigned, deliver/transport food services and supplies to designated sites using assigned Renu Hope Foundation mode of transportation.

Ø On a daily basis, as assigned, transport meals to designated locations, ensuring to meet scheduled timelines.

Ø  Complete as assigned inventory of food and food related items; restocking food and food related items; proper disposal of food and food related items as required by national food sanitation guidelines.

Ø  Prepare meal components according to the Meal Patterns specified (food components and portions) within the Child Adult Care Food Program for Infants and Preschoolers and/or School Age, i.e. breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner;

Ø  On a daily basis, pick up children in School Age program from local school and drop off to Center.

Ø  Complete daily, menu production records for all meals prepared (Infants and Preschool);

Ø  Ensure for timely transport and distribution of meals (breakfast, snack and lunch) for assigned sites/classrooms to ensure centers provide meal services within required timelines and have provide children with adequate time (30 minutes minimally per meal) within the daily schedule;

Ø  Collect daily Meal Transport Logs.  Maintain within monthly Food Services records;

Ø  Monitor daily and record food temperatures: (a) at time of delivery; (b) record temperatures of refrigerators on site; (c) record temperatures of central kitchen refrigerators and freezers.  Collect monthly Temperature Logs of assigned sites.  Maintain within monthly Food Services records;

Ø  Review Infant Food Supply Requests received against Infant Enrollment Summary and Infant Food Inventory.  Distribute Infant food requests. Collect Infant Feeding Plans (weekly) from assigned sites.  Maintain within monthly Food Services records;

Ø  Wash daily, dishes, utensils, and other food equipment used to ensure for sanitation compliance;

Ø  Assist with weekly inventory of food and food related products, food services equipment, and food related supplies.  Rotate food items in accordance to Serve Safe standards;

Ø  Submit requests for food, food related, cleaning materials to Food Services Coordinator;

Ø  Distribute food, food related, cleaning, instructional and other supplies to assigned site.  Maintain monthly inventory of all Center supplies related to meal services and cleaning;

Ø  Monitor daily food preparation areas, food storage areas.  Record health and safety concerns within the Potential Area of Concern (POC) to ensure for compliance with Health and Sanitation Codes.  Submit POC to Food Services Coordinator by the close of the business day;

Ø  Maintain safe, clean and sanitary kitchen and food storage (i.e. refrigerators, freezers and pantry);

Ø  Assist with quarterly inventory of food equipment.  Submit request for repair and/or replacement as needed within Potential Area of Concern;

Ø  Other duties as assigned.
